I have had the most fun photographing my seniors over the years and this year I'd like to ramp it up a bit and offer YOU something in return! Those who know me well, and maybe even those who don't know me, know that my passion is telling stories through photography in addition to educating young lives. Making memories and seeing others happy brings me more joy than anything else in this world. When I can get behind a camera and share in making those memories happen, well it just doesn't get any better than that. Last night while waiting on our table we took a few pictures on the beach. Nothing fancy, it had been raining and there was no sunshine at all but these two kiddos decided to dance. The heart of a child is so precious!! Put two children together in a happy home and the results...SO SWEET! 

One of my best friends, Ariel Rose, saw the big picture and took the opportunity to snap this picture of us all. I can't even begin to describe the feeling I have when I see what she saw. Things have not been as I would want them to be lately so my perception was definitely clouded. I saw a cluttered background, and she saw God's amazing creation. I saw a dreary, rainy afternoon with crazy humidity, and she saw the light of happiness in a family. I'm praying that I can get a few good pictures in what is clearly not the best circumstances according to the photographer's perception, and she sees a memory being made NOW! 

2020 has definitely not been easy for many of us. Today, Pastor Benny said something that really stood out to me. "You can't always determine what happens to you, but you can determine what happens IN YOU!" Being at peace is being right with God. I think about my perception of things when I think about his quote today. I know that am very blessed to have the life I have. No, I didn't choose some of the circumstances in my life. Yes, if I could change a few things, I would definitely do so but often it's not our decision or maybe we don't see it until it's too late. All this ties into my perception of MY LIFE. My perception can be changed with the peace of God. Colossians 3:15 says that the peace of God can dominate a situation. I choose God's peace when my perception is less than enough. That will provide me with the abundance I seek. My heart is filled with so much joy when I see the memories made while dancing on the beach.

Photography is an art form to be reckoned with as we strive to capture memories that will last a lifetime. When capturing a moment in time that is to be embedded into memory, it is important to get feeling and emotion with every shot. The new obsession is geared more towards lifestyle photography and specific areas of importance for each individual session. I love capturing feeling and emotion and believe that I do much better with that than posing as traditional styles would have. I would love to hear of additional trend setting sessions that can inspire upcoming memory making sessions. 

I absolutely love the colors of fall. The yellows, reds, oranges, and even the evergreens make for the most beautiful landscapes here in Georgia and in many states of the Eastern United States. Some of the most vibrant colors I have photographed were those in nature during this spectacular season. I have couples that love the traditional settings generic to our recognizable seasons, but I love photographing the unique style of each season. Christmas is right around the corner and time is approaching fast, but you still have time to book your fall/winter or Christmas family or child sessions. For example, when my husband and I were recently married, our wedding photographer was eager to include some creative shots done on my husband's pride and joy - his Harley Davidson Roadglide. The pictures are not your typical wedding shots but go so much deeper into showing something that we love as a couple. We love adventure and we LOVE ❤️ To ride. Incorporating these shots into our session enabled us to not only capture an amazingly special day, but allowed us to share our passion with all who shared our special memories. I started my photography obsession after my boys were born as many moms do to try and preserve those special moments that you just can't get back. Your child will only be little once and each moment seems so fleeting. So, as moms do, I started shooting my kids. No, not like that. I love my kids. I took out m y camera and I started clicking away. That was back in the day that film was still heavily use and boy did I spend some money trying to preserve those moments! Digital has made this a whole lot easier and I've enjoyed not only capturing my boys but also their friends, family, and anyone who will allow me to. I wouldn't trade it for the world. My photography has grown into an obsession and practice continues to perfect my style and I want to share that with you.
