Frozen in Motion
In sports photography, capturing the perfect moment is an art form. The ability to freeze a split-second in time—when an athlete’s muscles tense, a ball is mid-air, or the crowd erupts in excitement—turns a fleeting moment into a powerful image. Every shot tells a story, one that will forever evoke the thrill of the game.
Forever a Highlight
A great sports photo is more than just a picture; it’s a highlight that lives on long after the game ends. It’s a testament to the raw emotion, dedication, and energy of the athletes. These images become part of sports history, replayed over and over, each time evoking the same adrenaline rush.
10-0 Win
Sometimes, the score tells the story. The Upson-Lee Knights dominant 10-0 victory is more than just a blowout; it’s an opportunity to capture moments of total control and triumph. Sports photographers have the unique ability to convey the intensity of the game, making each hit, base earned, or run scored serve a visual masterpiece that speaks to the sheer excellence of the players.
Teacher Behind the Lens
Behind every great sports photographer is a teacher. The lens doesn’t just capture the action; it reflects a deep understanding of the game. For many photographers, teaching others is as important as taking the shot itself—passing on knowledge, skills, and a passion for sports photography to the next generation of creatives.
Meet Ansley! She is a beautiful senior this year with some pretty amazing plans for after graduation. She is a Varsity Cheerleader, on the swim team, and participates in mock trials, DECA, FCCLA and is dually enrolled. She has plans to go to law school after graduation. She is even scheduled to intern with a judge in December. That's pretty impressive!!
Ansley went with a small group of seniors prior to the start of school for a quaint little shoot on Jekyll Island. The sky displayed a beautiful golden sunset after a warm summer rain that made for some pretty dramatic photos. It couldn't have been any more perfect! Take a look at her individuals from that evening! She is definitely gorgeous!
I have had the most fun photographing my seniors over the years and this year I'd like to ramp it up a bit and offer YOU something in return! In return for helping me circulate and perfect my brand, I would like to offer print discounts and a way to earn credit toward your own senior session! The relationships I've made over the years photographing my seniors have been some of the best and I can't wait to see what this year has in store. Although senior sessions are open to all, this program is limited to only a few. I am already filling spots! Message me for details and to get your application in for consideration. Applications will be privately delivered through email. Contact me at wendymoore.zenfolio@gmail.com
Those who know me well, and maybe even those who don't know me, know that my passion is telling stories through photography in addition to educating young lives. Making memories and seeing others happy brings me more joy than anything else in this world. When I can get behind a camera and share in making those memories happen, well it just doesn't get any better than that. Last night while waiting on our table we took a few pictures on the beach. Nothing fancy, it had been raining and there was no sunshine at all but these two kiddos decided to dance. The heart of a child is so precious!! Put two children together in a happy home and the results...SO SWEET!
One of my best friends, Ariel Rose, saw the big picture and took the opportunity to snap this picture of us all. I can't even begin to describe the feeling I have when I see what she saw. Things have not been as I would want them to be lately so my perception was definitely clouded. I saw a cluttered background, and she saw God's amazing creation. I saw a dreary, rainy afternoon with crazy humidity, and she saw the light of happiness in a family. I'm praying that I can get a few good pictures in what is clearly not the best circumstances according to the photographer's perception, and she sees a memory being made NOW!
2020 has definitely not been easy for many of us. Today, Pastor Benny said something that really stood out to me. "You can't always determine what happens to you, but you can determine what happens IN YOU!" Being at peace is being right with God. I think about my perception of things when I think about his quote today. I know that am very blessed to have the life I have. No, I didn't choose some of the circumstances in my life. Yes, if I could change a few things, I would definitely do so but often it's not our decision or maybe we don't see it until it's too late. All this ties into my perception of MY LIFE. My perception can be changed with the peace of God. Colossians 3:15 says that the peace of God can dominate a situation. I choose God's peace when my perception is less than enough. That will provide me with the abundance I seek. My heart is filled with so much joy when I see the memories made while dancing on the beach.
